The Southwood baseball team lost a double header to Jimtown Saturday.

Knights got a last minute opportunity Friday due to the weather to take a drive up to Jimtown and compete against a really solid non conference opponent. Knights got down 4-0 after 2 and had trouble battling back against a solid Jimtown pitcher. They were able to scratch across a run in the 7th on a Ryan Deeter RBI groundout to score Quintin Coe.

Hitting:
Jaron Craft, Dalton Barney, and Quintin Coe all with 1 hit a piece

Pitching:
Jaron Craft (L) 3 1/3 IP, 6 H, 7 R, 3 ER
Brody Height 2 2/3 IP, 3 H, 2 R, 1 ER

Knights are 0-2 on the season

****************

Knights fell in a late nighter in game 2. This game didn’t start until around 8:45. It was a neat opportunity for the kids to play under the lights at a nice ballpark. The bats were again very quiet, but the Knights kept this at a 3-0 ball game until the Jimmies broke it open with 7 in the 6th inning to make it a 10 run ball game.

Hitting:
Dalton Barney, Coan Holloway, and Ryan Deeter 1 hit a piece

Pitching:
Ryan Deeter (L) 4 IP, 4 H 1 R, 1 ER
Dalton Barney 1 IP, 1 H, 2 R, 0 ER
Jaret Denney 2/3 IP, 4 H, 7 R, 6 ER

Knights are 0-3 heading into this week where they will have 5 games and hope to find a way into the win column!
