Golden Eagles hang on for CIC opener win

Emmett Dorothy threw 6.2 innings of 3-hit baseball with 7 strikeouts. Peyton Workman got the final out to receive the save.

We were able to score our lone run in the bottom of the 4th inning. Ryan Lawson got a 2-out hit and then stole second. Peyton followed him up with a hard hit RBI single.

Boys Varsity Golf beats Madison Grant 178 – 193

The Oak Hill Eagles traveled to Walniut Creek Golf Course to battle the Madison Grant Argyls. Led by Trent’s 37 the Eagles were able to defeat Madison Grant. The Dagles will be back in action Saturday at the Eastbrook Invitational.

Varsity Softball falls to Alexandria Monroe 9 – 3

The Lady Eagles had a rough loss tonight with 6 unearned runs given up along with six errors. The Tigers were able to score three runs the first inning after getting a couple walks, an error, and a passed ball. The Lady Eagles were not able to answer until the third inning when Jolee Hawkins had an RBI double. Then in the seventh inning the Eagles scored two runs. Taylor Holloway started off with a basehit and advanced to second on a passed ball. Then Zoey Bragg slammed a two run homer over the left field fence!! It was a nice rally that just started too late. The Eagles ended up losing 9-3.

Zoey Bragg lead the Eagles with two hits and two RBIs. Taylor Holloway, Jolee Hawkins, and Alivia Shaw all put up one hit and Jolee had the other RBI.

Other highlights of the game include a stolen home run by Evie Holz in left field, some great plays by Liz Godfrey at third base, and a beautiful double play between Lex Myers and Taylor Holloway.

Pathie Speicher relived Karsyn Wiley in the first inning and pitched three and a half innings and finished with three strikeouts. Macie Foustnight finished the game for the Eagles with one unearned run.
