Manchester Baseball Wins On Walk Off

The Manchester baseball team defeated Columbia City on a walk off single Friday.

The Squires played 7 solid innings Friday evening against a very good Columbia City team. The team trailed by one going into the bottom of the 7th inning when Harper Sturtsman hit a game tying homerun. Later in the inning Garrett Sites legged out an infield single to secure the victory by driving in the winning run.

Harper Sturtsman had another great performance on the mound. The freshman pitcher went seven complete while striking 10. Sturtsman received his 3rd win on the season.

Offensively the team was led by Garrett Sites who went 3-4 at the plate with 2 RBIs.
