Boys Varsity Golf finishes 5th place at Eastbrook Invite

The Oak Hill Eagles battled the wind and the cold today at the Eastbrook Invitational and finished. The Eagles finished 5 in the 12 team field. The Eagles were led by Trent Nelson’s 81 and Carson Hess’s 84. The Eagles are back in action next Tuesday vs Blackford at Arbor Trace.

OHTF Lady Eagles Nearly Double Up the Field in Winning 11 Events to Win Frankfort Invitational – Highley Wins 3 Events

For the 2nd straight weekend the OHTF Lady Eagles won a major Championship scoring 187 points to win the Frankfort Hot Dog Invitational. The Lady Eagles in all won 11 events, claimed 3 runner up finishes, and added 5 additional Top 3 finishes in all to nearly double up the field as a strong Cascade team was 2nd with 94 points.

Lady Eagle Senior Leah Highley led the way winning three events. Highley was the individual champion in the 100 meter dash, 400 Meter Dash, and 200 Meter Dash. She also anchored the 4×400 Meter Relay to a 2nd Place. Highley was joined on the relay by classmate Evelin Perez, Sophomore Audrey Rex, and Freshman Erika Newhouse.

Lady Eagle Juniors Ellie Campbell and Jennessa Shields along with Sophomore Biruk Travis were all double event winners. Campbell was the individual champion in the Long Jump and High Jump while combining with Highley for a 1-2 finish in the 200 Meter Dash.

Shields continued her breakout season in the throws sweeping individual titles in both the Shot Put and Discus. Classmate Gwen Thompson had a strong showing as well scoring a 3rd in the Shot Put.

Travis grabbed wins in the 1600 Meter Run and 3200 Meter Run. Travis also anchred the 4×800 Meter Relay to a season best time and Runner Up finish. Joining Travis on the relay were Pond and Perez along with Freshman Quinn Brunner.

Sophomore Lexi Nuber was the individual champion in the 300 Meter Hurdles also adding a Top 3 in the 100 Meter Hurdles. Sophomore Ava Miller, Juniors Riley Alfandre and Cail Bowlin, as well as Rex won the 4×100 Meter Relay. Bowlin took 3rd in the 100 Meter Dash just behind 2nd place and Highley. Miller added a 3rd in Pole Vault and Junior Audrey Woodard collected a 3rd in the 1600 Meter Run.

OHTF Golden Eagles Double Up the Field in Scoring Almost 200 Points to Win Frankfort Invitational – Jackson & Wyrick Lead the Way as Triple Event Winners

For the 2nd straight weekend the OHTF Golden Eagles won a major Championship scoring 192.5 points to win the Frankfort Hot Dog Invitational. The Golden Eagles battling cod windy conditions in all won 11 events, claimed 7 runner up finishes including 5 1-2 sweeps, and added 2 additional Top 3 finishes to double up the field as a strong Cascade team was 2nd with 93 points.

Golden Eagle Senior Owen Jackson and Junior Lance Wyrick led the way as both were triple event winners. The All State duo combined with Seniors Trenton Sweet and Toby Sneed to win the 4×800 Meter Relay while Jackson grabbed individual titles in the 400 Meter Dash and 800 Meter Dash while Wyrick individually won the 300 Hurdles and anchored the 4×400 Meter Relay to a 1st. Joining Wyrick on the relay were Senior AJ Austin along with Juniors Micah McKinney and Morshown Cotton.

Sweet grabbed an individual win in the 1600 Meter Run while Sneed did the same in the 3200 Meter Run. Sweet took 2nd to Jackson in the 800 Meter Run while Sneed was 2nd to Sweet in the 1600 Meter Run.

Freshman Jalen Scott was a double event winner taking 1st in the 100 Meter Dash and anchoring the 4×100 Meter Relay to a title. The young speedster added a close 2nd in the 200 Meter Dash. Joining Scott on the relay were Cotton, Junior Reese Hernandez, and Sophomore Isaac Mitchener. Hernandez had a big impact on the meet taking a runner up spot in the 100 Meter Dash behind Scott and a close 3rd in the 200 Meter Dash.

The Brower brother duo of Senior Nate and Freshman Kyle managed a 1-2 sweep in the Pole Vault. Nate took a 3rd in the Long Jump as well. Senior Tai Johnson took individual honors in the Discus.

Junior Drew Elzinga added big points with a 2nd in the both the 110 Meter Hurdles and 300 Meter Hurdles behind Wyrick for a 1-2 finish.

Oak Hill varsity baseball wins game #1 of DH

In 5 innings, the Golden Eagles slugged 18 hits scoring 17 runs to defeat Southwood. 7 starters had multiple hits and 6 of those 7 had multiple RBIs. Avery Mills and Matthew O’Banion each had homeruns. Peyton Workman, Noah Thompson, and Trenner Boswell each had 3 RBI’s. Harrison York got the win on the mound.

Golden Eagles complete sweep of Southwood doubleheader

Oak Hill won by the 10-run rule in the 6th inning. Ayden Pearce went the distance on the mound (6 innings, 4 hits, 3 strikeouts, 1 walk, and 1 earned run). Cam Aguilar was 2 for 3 with a single, triple, and an RBI. Dylan Archer was 2 for 2 with a stolen base. Peyton Workman was 2 for 4 and Emmett Dorothy had a 2-run triple.
