Manchester tennis continued their strong conference play with a shoutout victory over Rochester winning 5-0 Monday.

One doubles Carleigh Blevins and Addison Brubaker played impressive tennis hitting big shots, hard serves, and great net play to blank their opponents 6-0,6-0. Myla Crozier only gave up one game (6-1,6-0) at 2 singles displaying her athleticism and aggressive net play to dominate her match. The two doubles duo of Hailey Krom and Kate Schroll took a few games to get rolling and took commanding control through the end winning 6-2,6-0. They used great teamwork, excellent service returns, and nice doubles strategy to secure the 3rd team point. At 3 singles Bethany Penrod faced a consistent, scrapy opponent making for long points, but Penrod persevered and grew stronger as the match progressed. After an opening 6-2 set, Bethany rolled to win 6 straight for set two using well placed shots, patience, and great court movement. Finally, Sarah Kerlin played a very athletic solid tennis player but pulled out the 6-4,6-3 win. After trailing 3-4 in set one, Kerlin found ways to win the close games and tip momentum in her favor with her heavy topspin shots mixed with well placed balls and well timed net approaches.
