Results from the American and national league games from Saturday.

We had many volunteers show up early Saturday morning to dry the fields. We dodged the rain and we able to get all 3 American League games played.

In game one:
It was the Bott Mechanical White Sox defeating the Trophy Center Plus Tigers 14-4. For the White Sox –
Wesley Schultz, went1 for 1, 1 walk, and had 1 RBI. Eli swope went 1 for 1, an RBI, and a run scored. Tristan Haupert pitched a complete game, had four earned runs and 8 Srike Outs. Aaleyah Luttrell had multiple defensive stops at first base.and committed no errors.
For the Tigers – Tyler Milliner had 5 strike outs in 2 innings of relief pitching. Riddick Dietrich had another 2 for 2 at the plate. Isaac Epply had a 3 RBI double. The Tigers mustered out 8 hits as a team in the loss.

In game two:
It was the Wabash Welding Services Braves blanking the Zimmerman Law Office Pirates 11-0.
For the Braves – Leland Wesley pitched a no hitter while striking out 11 batters. Reece Ritter had a RBI double. Bentley Rainey and Jacob Waite both added hits in the win.
For the Pirates – Myles Holley recorded three strikeouts as the Pirates starting pitcher and 10 year old Gunner Foust struck out 5 Braves hitters in relief but it wasn’t enough as the Braves starting pitcher threw a no hitter and completely shut down the Pirates offense.

In the 3rd and final game of the day, it was the Siders Premier Properties Yankees over the Lunquist Realty Red Sox 24-8.
For the Yankees – The Yankees got strong pitching from Marshal Dyson and Brantley Gatchel. The offense was lead by an inside the park home run by Riley Sutphin.
For the Red Sox – Khrishna Patel had two hits. Miah Leach scored two runs scored in the loss.

In the first of three games for the day, the Crossroads Bank Red Sox defeated the Kendall Electric Yankees by a score of 3-2. For the Red Sox: Starting pitcher Camden McKee struck out 6 out of the 9 batters he faced. Relief pitcher Ethan Mahan added another 9 strikeouts for the game. For the Yankees: Wiley Sorg and Weston Smith had singles. Jaxten Chambers had a triple. Starting pitcher Wiley Sorg had 3 strikeouts and relief pitcher Hudson Haupert added 5.


In the second game of the day, the Wabash Elk’s Lodge Cubs had a solid outing against the Intrasect Technologies Blackhawks defeating the Hawks by a score of 11-1. For the Cubs: Mack Denney had a single. Ryker Wilcox-RBI single and a double. Wyatt Selleck and Kade Kelsheimer both had 2RBI singles. Paxton Wright had 2 singles and 2 RBI’s. Starting pitcher Ryker Wilcox pitched all 4 innings and had 8 strikeouts. For the Blackhawks: Mathis Holbert and Maddy Stahl both had singles. Starting pitcher Maddy Stahl had 2 strikeouts. Relief pitchers Zayne Amburgey added 4 strikeouts and Jayden Culver added 2.

In the final game of the day, the Wabash Hardware Giants defeated the Inguard A’s in a game that went 8 innings by a score of 11-10. The Giants scored 9 runs in the bottom of the 6th innings to tie the game and send it into extra innings. For the Giants: Connor Krom and Isaac Mattern both had RBI singles. Quinton Siders added an RBI double. And Gavin Trotter had 2 singles and 3 RBI’s on the night. Starting pitcher Maverick Mattern had 8 strikeouts. Relief pitcher Quinton Siders added 2. And Barrett Jones added another 5. For the A’s: Zayne Huffman and Ryker McKillip both had hits. Cruz Long had a triple. Jackson Tait-2 RBI single. Drew Floor added 2 RBI’s on a ground out. Starting pitcher Jackson Tait had 4 strikeouts. Relief pitcher Ryker McKillip came in and struck out 5 batters.

JM Reynolds Oil Yankees 12 vs Thorne Insurance Braves 6
Yankees awarded a game ball to Jamin Trotter for excellent play all around. The Braves gave Owen Crace a game ball for his great play.

Wabash City School Brewers 12 vs. Eads and son Bulldozing Dodgers 3.
Brewers gave game balls to Khael Hayslett, Hunter Gressley and Lucas Glass. Dodgers handed Maddon Taylor a game ball for great field play.

Empire real Estate Mets 8 vs. Wendt Cranse and Rigging Pirates 6.
The Mets gave Carson Mullett a game ball for going 3-3 at the plate. Pirates awarded Graham Whitman the game ball for being a warrior on the field.
