Southwood Baseball Holds Off Lewis Cass

The Southwood baseball team defeated Lewis Cass 4-3 Wednesday.

The Knights fell behind after some rough defense early led to some Kings runs. Jaron Craft on the mound continued to limit damage and went 7 really strong innings on the mound. Jaret Denney got the Knights going with a 2 RBI single in the 5th to cut the Kings lead to 1. Ryan Deeter followed behind with a quality at bat scoring the tying run on a Sacrifice Fly. Bottom of the 6th Jackson Smith singled over the second basemen, which scored Kallen Gidley for the go ahead run. Top of the 7th Craft was able to finish off the Kings with help from Jackson Smith making a nice catch at short to end it.
