Lady Squires Soccer Falls At Columbia City

Manchester girls soccer was defeated in a hard-fought battle against Columbia City Monday 3-2.

In the first half, Columbia City netted two goals early. Manchester bounced back in the second half and possessed the ball well. Campbell Bolinger scored off a free kick to give the ladies another boost. A few minutes later, Campbell Bolinger scored again to tie the game 2-2.

The Lady Squire defense was led by Addison Brubaker, Molly Schannep, Chase Blevins, and Olivia Stevens and locked in during the second half. With less than 3 minutes to go in the game, Columbia City broke through the Squire defense and scored the winning goal. Karsyn Kamphues had 11 saves in her first game in the net. London Spangle, Samantha Shock, Jo Eberly, and Maggie Onderko-White helped control the middle well. Ava Sautter, Hanna Stout, and Raimi Vawter created numerous opportunities up top.
