It wasn’t always pretty, but the Lady Squires dug in deep and managed to secure the 3-set sweep against the visiting Wawasee Warriors with scores of 26-24, 25-14, and 30-28 Tuesday.
Outsider hitters Izzy Renz (14 kills) and Myla Crozier (8 kills) paced the attack for the Squires. Ava Felgar (6 kills, 4 blocks), Lauryn Reichenbach (3 kills, 3 blocks), and Mya Metzger (3 kills, 3 blocks) each did nice jobs getting timely kills and disrupting the Wawasee attack at the net.
Our back row defense did a nice job passing as a unit time with Brilee Enyeart, Peyton Ream, Marley Bellinger, Hadley West, and Myla Crozier all picking up between 5 and 10 digs.
Peyton Ream picked up 19 assists to go along with 4 kills.
The Squires are back in action on Thursday as they’ll host Bluffton with the JV game starting at 6 with the varsity game to follow.
