The Manchester girls soccer team defeated Wabash 5-0 Tuesday.
The first goal came from a beautiful shot from Samantha Shock off an assist from Campbell Bolinger. A few minutes later, Ava Sautter sent a ball to Maggie Onderko-White, who finished the shot. The 3rd and 4th goals were both assisted by London Spangle who sent a through ball from the middle, and Ava Sautter and Raimi Vawter found the back of the net up top.
After halftime, Raimi Vawter scored another goal on an unassisted breakaway. Hanna Stout, Olivia Stevens, Joanna Eberly, Ava Sautter, and Campbell Bolinger had other great shots throughout the game. Addison Brubaker, Molly Schannep, Chase Blevins, Maggie Onderko-White, and Karsyn Kamphues led the defensive end, leading to the shutout. Cora Brown played well and had 1 save in the goal. Tonight, the Lady Squires also got to honor their seniors, Ava Baker, Campbell Bolinger, Addison Brubaker, Karsyn Kamphues, Molly Schannep, London Spangle, Hanna Stout, and Ryah Vawter.
Wabash finished TRC play with a record of 2-3. Wabash is now 4-4 on the season. Strong defensive game today by Jaycee Jones, Graci Napier, Abbi Hipskind and Samantha Walter and tremendous effort winning and distributing from Anna Daughtry and Logan Wright. Kait Honeycutt had 20 saves in goal. Wabash continues on the road Thursday, as they travel to Lapel.
