Wabash XC Wins Own Invite

The Wabash boys varsity cross country team won their home invitational at the city park Tuesday afternoon against Lewis Cass, Northfield, and Whitko.

Jonas Church repeated as race champion, defending his title from the previous year as Wabash scored 23 points to outdistance Lewis Cass (42) and Northfield (64). Whitko did not field a compete team. Jace Bullins finished 3rd in a gutsy performance. Caidan Burchett was Wabash’s #3 runner finishing behind Bullins in 4th place. Brett Shull led the next group of Apaches as he finished in 7th place. Following him was Kasen Oswalt in 8th and Kamden Oswalt in 9th. Maverick Sommers came in 20th as the #7 runner on the team. The Apaches are off this weekend in preparation for the conference meet next Saturday.

Northfield boys cross country team placed 3rd in the Wabash Invitational Tuesday night. Receiving ribbons last night was Eli Gahl leading the Norse with a 10th place finish in a time of 19:15, Kourtland Pratt in 12th place and a time of 19:57, Ryland Miller in 14th place at 20:10, Tayten Barlow in 15th at 21:01, Blake Aderman in 17th at 21:33, Nate Hodson in 18th place in a time of 21:33. Rounding out the team was Xavier Roark in 21:56, Holten Satterthwaite in 22:36, Ashton Aderman in 22:48, Ethan Hoover in 23:11 and Gavin Lester in 23:17. Congrats to Holten Satterthwaite on his season PR!

Running at the Wabash Invite Tuesday- Kaleigh Rice was first across the line overall with a 20:58 time. Teagan Baer was 3rd over all with a 23:03 finish with Ali Copeland right behind her in 4th place with a finishing time of 23:05. All three girls ran a great race and will compete at the New Haven Invitational this Saturday.
