The Manchester Squires football team ran over Lewis Cass 49-28 Friday.
Cass would grab a quick 7-0 lead on their first possession with 6:09 on the clock that didn’t last long after Reiss Gaerte answered with a 64yd run one minute later to make it 7-7.
The Squires would grab the lead in the second when Dallas Martin raced 52yds to paydirt to put Manchester up 14-7. Cass would answer with a TD run to tie the score before Martin found Eli Metzger for a 50yd scoring strike and a 21-14 lead at the half.
The Squires would flex their muscle in the second half. Martin connected with Metzger a second time to lead 28-14 before Cass made it 28-21. Maddux Greer would then take a Martin pitch 44yds to give Manchester a 35-21 lead after three.
Cass would score early in the fourth to make it 35-25 before TD runs of 66yds and 56yds from Martin sealed the 49-28 win.
The Squires were led on Offense by Dallas Martin with 214 yards rushing and three touchdowns and he also throw for two more touchdowns. Eli Metzger had two receiving touchdowns and Reiss Gaerte and Maddux Greer each had a rushing touchdown.
