Girls Varsity Basketball falls to Kokomo 49 – 34
The Lady Kings faced off against the undefeated Lady Wildcats of Kokomo tonight in a highly anticipated matchup. Despite a strong effort, the Kings came up short, falling to Kokomo in a hard-fought contest.
Aftin Griffin led the scoring for the Lady Kings with 10 points, while Anna Hedrick contributed 9. Mylie Sipe added 5 points, with Ava Hubner and Laney Davis each scoring 4 to complete the team’s offensive effort.
With the loss, the Lady Kings drop to 3-1 on the season. They’ll have little time to regroup as they prepare for another tough road game at Northwestern this Friday night.
In a thrilling matchup on the road, the Lewis Cass JV Lady Kings came up just short against Kokomo, falling 39-35 in a game that wasn’t decided until the final seconds. The Lady Kings battled hard, with Kiley Silcox leading the offense with 14 points. Presley Johnson added 9, Maddie Lynch contributed 5, Liz Sprow scored 2, Lilli Hammond added 3, and Hope Rush rounded out the scoring with 2 points.
