Oak Hill opened the 2024-25 wrestling season by winning the 6-team Northfield Bill Campbell Wrestling Invitational at Northfield High School on Saturday, November 23, 2024. Northfield finished second. Oak Hill beat Northfield in the second round by a score of 39-38. The match was tied 38-38, but Oak Hill won the criteria point, criteria “i” – scoring the first points in more of the fourteen bouts in the match than Northfield (8-6).

The girls had an incredible meet at the Kathy Dowling Invitational at Greenfield-Central. They placed 2nd out of 4 teams and showed a lot of improvement and determination. Out of our 30 performances, 26 were new season or personal best efforts.

Isabel Snyder dropping over 5 seconds to place 3rd in the 200 freestyle
Riley Alfandre and Addison Carey taking 3rd and 5th in the 50 freestyle
Abby Sneed impressively winning 1 meter diving
Kenae Drollinger dropping 1 second and placing 3rd in the 100 butterfly
Charleigh Nevers dropping 5 seconds in the 100 freestyle
Isabel Snyder dropping 12 seconds to take 3rd in the 500 freestyle
Riley Alfandre and Quinn Brunner taking 3rd and 4th in the 100 backstroke

The Oak Hill Lady Eagles fell to Norwell 54-34 on Saturday evening. The Eagles kept the margin within 10 most of the game, but Norwell was able to knock down back to back threes to open extend their lead. Liz Godfrey had 11 points. Morgan Cates led the Eagles in rebounding with 6. Erika Newhouse and Landri Hardman each had 5 assists. The Lady Eagles will travel to Southwood on Tuesday evening. JV starts at 6pm followed by Varsity.
