The Northfield wrestling team won the first ever TRC Super Duals Saturday at Maconaquah.
The TRC Super Duals has all Ten TRC Teams head-to-head over two days to determine the best Conference Dual Team. Placing 1st, Northfield finished with a record of 8-1, only losing an extremely close match to the Peru Tigers (44-36). Team records came to a three-way tie between Lewis-Cass, Peru, and Northfield, all three with a record of 9-1. The Norsemen’s victory came from a total team points score of 501.
Overall, the team’s performance was outstanding, with four Norsemen, senior Kameron Pratt, junior Brayden Rice, Tate Barlow, and sophomore Eli Gahl, going 9-0 in the tournament. Their dual match scores were as follows:

Northfield’s next challenge is a crucial match against North Miami on December 12th. This match will be a significant test for the team and an opportunity to further demonstrate their Wild Card Bid for a chance to wrestle at the Class 1A Team State Tournament.
