Results from Oak Hill for Friday, January 10th & Saturday, January 11th.

The Oak Hill Lady Eagles defeated Blackford this afternoon 52-11. The team combined for 14 assists and 18 steals. Brianna Dailey led the Eagles in scoring with 19 points. Liz Godfrey scored 13 and had 7 steals. Morgan Cates had 11 points and 4 rebounds. Alexa Myers had 9. The Lady Eagles are now 16-1.

They boys posted a solid showing at the Jay County Invitational. Placing 3rd out of 12 teams. We had several good swims on the day and our depth helped greatly and was the reason for our high place. We had a few season best times, highlighted by Konnor Bullick in the 500 Freestyle. Konnor dropped 6 seconds and placed 3rd overall. Evan Bledsoe nearly broke the pool record in the 100 Breaststroke. He missed the time by less than half a second. Other highlights from today 2nd place 200 medley relay team of (Carey, Bledson, Gardner, Lynch) Evan Bledsoe winning the 200 IM Braylon Carey placing third in the 50 free Konner Bullick and Eli Gardner placing third and fourth in the 500 free

The girls placed first overall at the Jay County Invitational out of 14 teams. Our team depth, especially at the 200 and 500 freestyle lead the way for the victory. The team placed several in the top 10 in every event and our A and B relays had great showings. This was a true team victory for the girls and we couldn’t be more proud of them. Today’s highlights The 200 Freestyle group placing 4 individuals in the top 12 overall. (Kelli Moore 1st, Bella Kenyon 5th, Isabel Snyder 8th, and Kaitlyn Scalf 12th) Kenae Drollinger 2nd in the 200 IM and 3rd in the 100 Fly The 500 Freestyle group placing 4 individuals in the top 12 overall. (Kelli Moore 1st, Isabel Snyder 2nd, Kaitlyn Scalf 7th, and Eily Hawk 11th) 400 Freestyle Relay team of (Drollinger, Carey, Kenyon, Moore) placed 1st.

Oak Hill improved its dual meet record to 21-2 with a 48-26 victory over the Peru Tigers on Saturday, January 11, 2025. Oak Hill jumped out to a 33-6 lead by winning six of the first seven bouts. When the dust cleared Oak Hill had nine of the fourteen bouts, seven of them by pin.
