
The Manchester boys tennis team traveled to Mississinewa Tuesday, Aug. 19, and fell short in a 3-2 loss.
Playing with just three players, the Squires won two of the three contested matches but had to forfeit the doubles matches.
At No. 1 singles, Manchester junior Caleb Struble-Hedstrom cruised to a 6-1, 6-0 win, while Brendyn Mugford, also a junior, battled to pick up a 6-4, 4-6, (10-7) win at No. 2 singles.
Sophomore Adam Kerlin played his first varsity match and took a 6-0, 6-2 loss at No. 3 singles.
Manchester travels to conference foe Maconaquah, Thursday, Aug. 21.
