Varsity vs Oak Hill High School (3 – 1) Win
The Lady Braves were at Oak Hill for our first match of the season Tuesday. Sporting our new black jerseys the Braves earned the victory in four entertaining sets 19-25, 25-22, 27-25, 25-19. After a rough start the girls settled in and were able to adjust to the size and style of Oak Hill, which is a solid team. By winning the competitive third set with great scramble plays and clutch serving we were able to grab the momentum and finish the match in four sets Kasey Murry had a strong night at the net and led the attack with 11 kills and a block. Middle Blocker Ireland Kile had seven kills, 2 blocks, and four aces. Setter Delaney Betzner dished 21 assists, floored five kills, and dug up 15 balls. Nekane Hernandez tallied 20 digs and had a big serving night continually keeping Oak Hill out of system and serving five aces in the match. Senior Libero Addie Maiben added 15 digs along with 20 serve receptions in the back row.
