
The Southwood football team picked up their first win of the season Friday, defeating Northfield 27-12.
The Knights would get the lone score of the first quarter when Maddox Marshall scored from 2yds out for a 7-0 lead after the Cooper Drake extra point.
The Norse would strike first in the second quarter when Jake Perney hooked up with Briggs Baker to make it 7-6. Two minutes later the Knights would answer when Marshall found Drake for a 60yd scoring strike to make it 14-6 at the half.
The Norse did all the scoring in the third when Perney scored from 3yds out for a 14-12 score after three.
Southwood would own the fourth quarter with Marshall scoring twice from 9yds and 38yds for the 27-12 final.
