Lady Norse Win Sectional-Chenoweth/Brewer Go 1-2 Individual/Spangle & Shah Also Qualify

It was a great day to be a Lady Norse golfer as the Lady Norse won the 1st Sectional Title in school history

The Lady Norse coming into sectionals were seeded 2nd behind Bluffton, who beat them in one of their regular matches back in August. The Lady Norse played with Bluffton and Southern Wells in the first group.

It came down to the end as the Lady Norse were victorious shooting a 348, which shatters the previous team school record by over 20 strokes. Every single girl had their career personal best as they were led by Ayla Dale with a 82, followed by Addy Sorg with a 83. Vivian Haupert shot a very impressive 88 for her first sectional in her career. Montgomrie Dawes shot another great score of 95 and Kassidy Cartwright put the icing on the cake as she made her first career eagle on her last hole of the day shooting a 100.

The Norse improve to a record breaking record of 45-5. The Norse continue their season as they head up to Noble Hawk Golf Course on Friday to compete in regionals.

Madison Chenoweth of Southwood was the overall sectional champion, firing a 79. Wabash’s Kaitlyn Brewer was second overall with an 80. Chenoweth and Brewer will join the Northfield team at the regional.
