The Wabash Lady Apaches soccer team won 3-0 on their last home game of the regular season to beat Taylor.
Wabash did a great job maintaining possession and keeping the pressure on for majority of the game with freshman goalkeeper Brynn Lindsay touching the ball just 3 times on the night. A huge part of that was defenders Jaycee Jones, Ember Christle, Olivia Wilkin, Colleena Meadows and Logan Wright winning the ball and serving it up to our mids and forwards to keep the offensive pressure on. Wabash found it’s first goal with senior Logan Wright and freshman Baelee Noland connecting again with Noland striking the ball to the back of the net off of Wright’s service. Wabash went into half up 1-0. Noland scored again for Wabash (unassisted) with a great breakaway goal to put them up 2-0. The final goal was scored off a beautiful carry up the field from Meadows serving Wright, who then carried it right up to the goalkeeper and put it away in the corner. Tonight Lady Apache shots came from Wright, Noland, Christle, Wilkin, Raegan Jones, Hope Fritter and Alyssa Rose. Wabash is back in action on Thursday at Oak Hill for their last regular season game.
