
The Manchester Lady Squires secured a solid 2-0 victory over North Miami in a strong all-around performance.
Manchester opened the scoring in the first half when Raimi Vawter capitalized on a breakaway, beating the defense and finishing unassisted to give the Squires a 1-0 lead. In the second half, Ava Sautter doubled the score with a beautiful strike to the corner after breaking through the middle, sealing the win for Manchester. The Lady Squires’ defense played well throughout the match. Maggie Onderko-White, Brooklyn Grimes, Ana Hasund, and Chase Blevins held the back line, while goalkeeper Shiann Owens kept a shut out with solid play in goal. In the midfield, Allie Egolf and Elin Betten controlled the tempo and created opportunities, while McKayla Dillon, Ely Mobley, Olivia Stevens, and Ava Sautter worked the outside. Manchester generated several quality chances throughout the night and showed impressive teamwork and execution on both ends of the field.
