The Manchester Lady Squires defeated Maconaquah 51-45 Saturday afternoon.
The Squires had some foul trouble in the first half and Maconaquah went on a scoring run to give them the lead 24-34 at half. After a scoreless first 4 minutes of the second half, the Squires found a rhythm and went on a run to cut the lead to 4 going into the 4th quarter. The Lady Squires hit some big shots and held the Lady Braves to 11 points in the second half to pull out the win. Emma Walker led the Squires with 20 points and a single-game record of 21 rebounds.
