The Manchester girls basketball team defeated Huntington North 49-45 Tuesday.
The Lady Squires had a slow start offensively and had some early foul trouble. They got down by as many as 11 points in the first half, but defensively they picked up the pressure and cut the lead to 6 at halftime. After halftime, they continued to do the little things despite their poor shooting percentage. The Lady Squires didn’t lead until Olivia Stevens hit a big 3-pointer with 50 seconds left in the game. The ladies finished the game defensively as Emma Walker and Peyton Ream pulled down big rebounds and hit free throws to seal the game.
