On Teacher/Staff Appreciation Night, the Lady Braves delivered a strong performance against TRC opponent Peru, securing a 54-43 victory. The team excelled on both ends of the court, reflecting their cohesive teamwork.
Game Highlights:
First Half: Both teams started with effective ball movement, leading to an initial 9-8 advantage for Peru. However, the Lady Braves responded with an impressive 22-0 run, concluding the first quarter 20-9 and extending their lead to 37-17 by halftime. Delaney Betzner’s three three-pointers fueled the run, while Aubrey Stoll excelled defensively with the help of her teammates, challenging Peru’s leading scorer.
Second Half: The Lady Braves maintained their momentum, winning the third quarter 7-6, resulting in a 44-23 lead. In the fourth quarter, they focused on ball control and experimenting with different line-ups.
Game Note: Ireland Kile recorded her first double-double of the season, with15 pts and 10 rebounds.
Coach Davis’s comments: “Every player contributed to the win weather on the offensive end and defensive end of the court. Players are playing to their roles and their strengths. I’m very pleased with the ladies and how they carried out the game plan and played as a team. This was our 2nd game in three days and the ladies played with a lot of heart and hustle.”
The coaching staff praised the team’s energy and unity throughout the game.
