Results from Oak Hill for Saturday, February 28th
The boys finished a remarkable year with an unforgettable State Championship performance. There are no separate class tournaments for swimming. So the boys faced the entire state and placed 6th overall. An unbelievable achievement that was echoed by countless coaches over the weekend. They gained the respect of the competition. This is also the best placing for a non class state championship for any sport in Oak Hill history. Before this year, no swimmer had ever earned a medal (top 8) at state. After today….we walked home with 2 relays and 4 individual events earning medals. I could not be more proud of the boys and their historic season and championship run. They ended the season as the best team in program history, arguably the best small school in state swim history and broke every school record in the process. I am honored to have coached this incredible team and look forward to keep this momentum going.
