Manchester Cross Country Wins Quad

The Manchester boys and girls cross country teams beat Central Noble, Southwood, and Triton Wednesday at home.

The boys scored 27 to Central Noble’s 30. Oliver Fitzpatrick, Jet Thomas, Gabe Selleck, Sam Macias, and Noah Macias were top 5 for the Squires. Ezra Hendricks and Wyatt Martin were pushers to put us ahead of Central Noble.

The girls scored 33 to Triton’s 40. Rachel Steely, Emersyn Sarber, Tenley Metzger, Lilly Miller, and Ainsley Metzger were top 5 for the Squires. Haruka Yokoyama, Pia Putz, and Mia Pohl all finished their first 5k in America.

Southwood’s Ava Stouffer was the star of the night! The freshman standout took 1st overall in a field of 23 runners, crossing the finish line in 21:24.6 and setting a new personal record.

Other performances to note are Paige Nelson placing 7th with a season best of 24:32.1 and freshman, Ellie Simpson setting a new PR of 29:20.1, finishing 17th. Olivia Ranck and Grace Ranck rounded out the scoring for the Lady Knights.
