The Wabash cross country teams ran in the West Noble Invite Saturday.
Teresina Cordes (freshman) led the way for Wabash finishing 2nd overall in 18:55. Sophomore, Mya Golliher was the second Wabash runner across the finish line, placing 50th in 22:29, followed by senior Mallory Tart, who finished 104th in 24:41. Another senior was Mia Fairchild who came through just behind her teammate, taking 109th in 24:50, while Emma Cantrell (sophomore) rounded out the Wabash scoring lineup with a 141st-place finish in 27:20.
The Wabash High School boys cross country team finished 4th out of 21 teams at the West Noble Invitational Saturday morning. James Unger and Ezra Church battled it out with Unger eventually taking 7th place and Church 8th. Kedryn Evenson came in 27th with Luis Trejo 33rd. Landen Fisher rounded out the top 5 with a 108th place finish. Kalib Mabery finished 115th and Demetri Shull 136th. There were 201 runners in the race.
In the junior high Varsity Race, Wabash finished 23rd as a team. Grace Jones led the Lady Apaches with a personal record of 13:29, placing 79th overall. Eva Sommers followed in 138th with a time of 14:56, while Lola Hill ran a PR of 15:17 to finish 148th. Marlowe Fansher continued the strong showing with a PR of 15:19 in 152nd place, followed by Ruby Cantrell, who also set a PR with a 15:25 in 156th. Lily-Ann Hearn recorded another personal best, finishing 159th in 15:38, and Haven Cook rounded out the varsity lineup in 173rd with a time of 16:40.
The Lady Apaches also had a strong showing in the Reserve Race, finishing 15th as a team. Braelyn Jones led the way with a PR of 17:06, placing 115th, followed by Harper Ellet, who ran a PR of 17:19 in 120th. Alexis Lynn continued the PR streak with a 17:33 in 125th, while Lauren Cook ran a personal best of 17:40 to finish 127th. Rory Edwards finished 139th in 18:27, followed by Alora Hampton, who recorded a PR of 18:32 in 141st. Roslyn Hall finished in 21:02 for 156th, with Adelyn Edwards close behind in 157th at 22:04. Layna Eiler posted a PR of 22:05 in 158th, followed by Raelyn Paige in 159th with 24:51 and Daisy Ravenscroft in 160th with 26:13.
The Wabash Middle School boys cross country team finished 10th out of 27 teams at the West Noble Invitational Saturday Morning. Jeffery Small led the Apaches with a 5th place finish. Easton Cantrell was 65th. Will Sullivan, Macklin Denney, Alek Aspinwall, and Luke Aspinwall came in one right after the other in 81st, 83rd, 86th, and 87th. Lukas Rojas came in 126th. There were 205 runners in the race.
In the reserve race the boys finished 16th out of 19th with Aidan Young leading the way with a 90th place finish. Chase LaSalle was next at 227th, Parker Treska 285th, Isaac Mattern 311th, and Finn Fairchild 373rd.
