he Manchester boys tennis team moved their roster around in their final regular season match, Thursday, Sept. 24 at Lewis Cass, in a 4-1 loss to the Kings.
The regular top two singles players, Caleb Struble-Hedstrom and Brendyn Mugford moved to the No. 1 double position and came away with Manchester’s only in win by a 6-2, 6-3 score.
The No. 2 doubles team of Graham Kreps-Miller and Tate Harting lost, 6-1, 6-0.
In singles play, Adam Kerlin moved from No. 3 to No. 1 singles position and lost, 6-0, 6-0, while Gatsby Gawthrop also lost by the same score at No. 3 singles.
The last score of the night saw Charlie Van battle but fall short, 6-3, 6-3, at No. 3 singles.
In JV action, Braxton Martin lost, 6-0, at No. 1 singles, while Tristin Sellers lost his singles match, 6-1, and the duo paired up for a doubles match to end the night, falling, 6-1.
The Squires will wait for the Peru Sectional draw Sunday, Sept. 27. The sectional will be played at Peru from Tuesday, Sept. 29 through Thursday, Oct. 1.
