Results from Maconaquah for Tuesday, October 6th.
The Lady Braves welcomed the Logansport Berries Tuesday night. Our team maintained control during the first set. Both the second and third sets saw us get behind early, before we quickly regained momentum to put away the match. Strong serving across the board today helped up secure the win in three sets (25-12, 25-14, 25-11).
Kasey Murry was tonight’s leader in kills with 12. She also added 12 digs, two blocks, and two aces for the Braves. Ireland Kile contributed seven kills, 11 digs, two blocks, and three aces. Lucee Jernagan tallied three kills and five digs from the outside hitter position. Aubrey Kaiser led us in service points and dug up seven balls. Freshman Bailei Boggs had four kills and four blocks. Libero Naomi Cook added seven digs. Setter Delaney Betzner provided 25 assists, 15 digs, two blocks, and three kills.
The JV Lady Braves played a strong first set. Their solid play continued into the second set, where the Berries took control of the set around the mid-point. The Berries kept their composure in the third set, while the Braves struggled to keep the ball in play. The JV Braves ultimately fell in three sets (25-16, 25-27, 6-15).
Eliot Fuller put away nine kills. Ryleigh Marburger had 19 assists. Abby Pearce and Ellie Hostetler each had seven digs.
The Braves are now 22-7 on the season. Our final regular season match is this Thursday at home vs. Tipton.
