The fields were dry and the sun was shining…. finally baseball
The Siders Premier Properties defeated the Kalenborn Wear Protection Services Orioles 6-5. It was an exciting game to watch the 2 teams battle it out.
For the Yankees- Manager Bill Futrell stated it was a well played and well pitched game. Offensively Riley Sutphin had a triple and Arrow Dague drove in the winning run to lead the Yankees to victory.
For the Orioles – Bree Smith got the game ball, as she made a great catch on a foul ball at first base, and she did a good job catching for her first time.
Jeremiah Ramsey, Wyatt Poole, and Trenton Flohr all did a good job on the pitching mound. Manager Dylan Poole stated “Even though the team lost by 1 rune – all the kids played with their heart”.
In the only game of the night, the Inguard A’s defeated the Intrasect Technologies Blackhawks by a score of 6-0. For the A’s: Zayne Huffman singled. Ryker McKillip had a single and an RBI. Jackson Tait had an RBI double. Cruz Long singled and doubled on the night. Cruz also pitched a shutout game. He had 14 strikeouts and 1 walk. For the Blackhawks: Both Zayne Amburgey and Silas Tavares had singles. Mathis Holbert had a single and a double. Starting pitcher Braxton Chamberlain had 3 strikeouts. Relief pitcher Mathis Holbert added 4 strikeouts.
