Boys Varsity Baseball beats Northfield Jr-Sr 6 – 2
The Braves defeated Northfield 6-2 on Monday night. Bennett Isenburg pitched a complete game giving up 2 earned runs while strilking out ten batters.
The Braves got off to a hot start with a two out rally in the first inning. With two out, Kaleb Shelton doubled to center field. Jacob Isley drew a walk (Jackson Garber ran for him). Devon Murry drew a two out walk to load the bases. The Caiden Richards hit a soft ground ball that got away from the defense to allow Shelton to score. Then Deven Mitchell hit a bases-clearing double to score Garber, Murry, and Richards.
Shelton finished with two hits, Braxtin Birner had a hit, Isenburg had a hit, Richards had a hit, and Jayden Mercer had a hit for the Braves.
The Braves travel to North Miami to complete TRC play this Wednesday.

Maconaquah Softball gets Win on Senior Night Versus Northfield
The Lady Braves hosted Northfield Monday Night in Bunker Hill. The wind was blowing out of the park and the Braves Bats were hot. The Braves honored their 5 Seniors prior to the first pitch. Seniors in alphbetical order. Sydney Barnes, Bailey Carson, Anna Clifton, Thea Tyra were all honored and acompanied with thier parents.
Once the game started, Maconaquah rolls through the batting order twice scoring 15 runs in the bottom of the first inning, and never looked back. The Braves at the end of the night tallied 29 hits, 4 HR, 1 Triple, 6 Doubles, and 18 singles. Sophomore Shaela Brazzel smacks a Grand Slam in the first inning, Freshman Ireland Kile hits her first career Home Run in the second inning. Senior Anna Clifton and Sydney Barnes crack their own dingers in the fourth inning.
