The Manchester United football team played two games Wednesday.
Manchester Unified Flag Football falls to East Noble 14 – 6
In the first game of the night it is Manchester versus East Noble. The first play of the game East Noble runs a sweep around the end. Stopped by Gavin Betten pulling the flags. Manchester’s Hunter Bean with an interception. Cody Lengel completes two passes one to Gavin Betten and one to Hunter Bean. Manchester runs the reversal to number 20 Hunter Bean for the touchdown. Manchester’s Cody Lengel is brought down short of the extra points. East Noble runs another sweep brought down by Peyton Tester. Cody Lengel put pressure on the quarterback for an incomplete pass. Another incomplete pass by East Noble. East Noble runs the ball for a first down. East Noble scores a touchdown and an extra point. East Noble sweeps around the end for a rushing touchdown and adds one extra point. Gavin Betten with the sweeper around the end for gain. Manchester Unified Flag Football falls to Twin Lakes 41 – 18
For the second game of the night, the Squires face off against Twin Lakes. Gavin Betten started the game pulling flags and then intercepting the ball on the second play. Cody Lengel’s pass is complete to number 56 Peyton Tester. Cody Lengel’s pass is intercepted. Peyton Tester pulls flags. Incomplete pass for Tein Lakes. Then Twin Lakes has a touch down. Cody Lengel’s pass is complete to Gavin Betten. Hunter Bean takes the handoff around the end for a gain. Squires turn over the ball. Twin Lakes touchdown and extra point. Cody Lengel’s pass is complete to Gavin Betten for a rushing touchdown. Lucas Hernandez started to add pressure in the defense to keep Twin Lake nervous on the ball. Jacob Emerick made some great snaps to keep the ball in play for our quarterback and continued to go out for passes throughout the game. Hunter Bean, Cody Lengel, Gavin Betten, and Peyton Tester pulled flags to stop the ball throughout the game Jacob Emerick completed a pass to gain yards for the Squires. The Squires played a great game of working hard together on the hot night, but fell short with the final score of Manchester 18 and Twin Lakes 41. The Squires celebrated the Seniors at the conclusion of the games for the night! We appreciate our Seniors and all they have given to our team over the years. The Squires are away next week at Blackford.
