The Lady Kings found themselves in a tough battle early on against Southwood, as both teams struggled to find their rhythm in a slow-paced first quarter. Kylie Logan provided an early spark with 4 points, helping the Lady Kings edge out an 8-7 lead after the opening period.

Turnovers plagued the Lady Kings in the second quarter, with the Lady Knights forcing 14 giveaways. However, a clutch three-pointer at the buzzer by Mylie Sipe sent the Lady Kings into halftime with a narrow 3-point advantage.

Coming out of the break, the Lady Kings turned up the defensive intensity, completely shutting out Southwood in the third quarter and allowing just 4 points in the final period. Their stifling defense paved the way to an impressive 44-20 victory.

Aftin Griffin led the offensive charge with a game-high 16 points, followed by Ann Hedrick with 8. Mylie Sipe added 6, Kylie Logan contributed 5, Hope Rush scored 4, Presley Johnson chipped in 3, and Ava Hubner rounded out the scoring with 2 points.

With the win, the Lady Kings improve to 14-6 on the season and even their conference record at 4-4 in the TRC.
