Whitko wins 3-2 over New Haven!!!
Both teams were strong on the bump on Friday, but Whitko Wildcats defeated New Haven 3-2. Daton Day started the game for the Wildcats and recorded 21 outs.
A single by Breyden Kirkdorffer put Whitko Varsity Wildcats on the board in the top of the first.
A double by Day extended the Whitko Varsity Wildcats lead to 2-0 in the top of the second inning.
Day earned the win for Whitko Wildcats. The hurler gave up six hits and two runs over seven innings, striking out four and walking three.
Easton Grable, Crew Ebbinghouse, Ethen Morris, Kirkdorffer, and Day each collected one hit for Whitko Wildcats. Kirkdorffer and Day each drove in one run for Whitko Wildcats. Whitko Wildcats ran wild on the base paths, tallying four stolen bases for the game. Whitko Wildcats didn’t commit a single error in the field. Chandler Cox had the most chances in the field with 4.
