Braves defeat Wabash in three sets 25-23, 25-22, 25-22.
The Lady Braves volleyball team welcomed conference foe Wabash to town for a TRC showdown. The Braves started slowly getting down 3-12 before coming back and winning the first set by two points, 25-23. The second set had us building a big lead before finishing off the set 25-22. The third set was back and forth with the Braves holding a two to three point lead throughout before sealing the win 25-22. Our girls adjusted well after a horrid start and losing Senior Addie Maiben who had to leave the match in the first set with an injury. We had great energy and enthusiasm and made many hustle plays to help win a big conference match.
Kasey Murry led the Braves attack with 15 kills and had nine digs on defense. MB Ireland Kile downed seven kills and led the team with 17 digs defensively. Nekane Hernandez added four kills and 11 digs from the Outside Hitter position. Setter Delaney Betzner tallied 13 assists and 14 assists and Setter Averie Maiben dished 12 dimes and led the team with three aces. MB Kaitlynn Bunch and OPP Lacey Ramos led the team with three and two blocks respectively.
