The Manchester Lady Squires basketball team defeated Wawasee 54-24 in their first game of the season Wednesday.
After a slow start in the first quarter, the ladies increased their defensive energy and outscored the Lady Warriors 18-1 to give them the solid lead going into halftime. Their defense didn’t back down after halftime as they held Wawasee to one point in the 3rd quarter as well. The Lady Squires ended with 20 steals and 40 rebounds on the night, which showed the heart and hustle they played with.
