The Oak Hill girls had a big win tonight over the visiting Eastern Comets. We had 20 season best swims to push us to a 116-57 victory. The attention to detail and overall effort was the driving factor in their fast times. One of the big surprise swims came from Freshman Sierra Snyder in the 100 breaststroke. She dropped 5 seconds to take first place. The boys had an outstanding performance tonight during their season opener against Eastern. The entire team exceeded my expectations for this meet. We ended up with 36 personal best swims and broke 3 school records. The Relay team of Cael McCann, Evan Bledsoe, Cooper McQuiston and Braylon Carey broke the 15 year old 200 Medley Relay record with a time of 1:38.05. Cooper McQuiston then went on to break the 200 Freestyle record with a time of 1:49.21. Later on in the meet, Cael McCann broke the 100 Backstroke record with a time of 53.06. So many big swims and goal shattering swims happened tonight for this team. Ben Babinski also performed well in diving. Competing in the sport for the first time after just recently joining the team.
