Manchester Swimmers Fall To Maconaquah

The Manchester girls and boys swim teams fell to Maconaquah Thursday.

Sophie Cumberland paced the Squire girls with first place finishes in the 200 IM and 100 backstroke. The 400 free relay Laynen DeLaughter, Trinity Bradley, Jana Boladeres and Cumberland finished second. DeLaughter (50 free), Fox (100 fly), Boladeres (100 breast), and the 200 medley relay team of Cumberland, Boladeres, Fox, and Maggie Akins all picked up third place finishes.

The boys were led by Jet Thomas’ first place finish in the 100 breaststroke and second place finish in the 500 freestyle. Gabe Selleck had a pair of second place finishes in the 50 freestyle and 100 backstroke. Eli Garcia had a strong night finishing 2nd in the 100 freestyle and third in the 200 freestyle. Kai Elliott swim well as well finishing 3rd in the 50 freestyle and 100 breaststroke. The 200 medley relay team of Marcus Harlan, Elliott, Thomas, and Selleck was second. Selleck, Garcia, Elliott, and Thomas were second in the 200 freestyle relay, and the 400 freestyle relay team of Garica, Andrew Cardenes, Harlan, and Hugo Montero Rodriquez also placed second.
