The Northfield Lady Norsemen wrestling team delivered an outstanding performance Friday night at Rochester High School, earning 2nd Place Overall at the Three Rivers Conference with an impressive 151 team points.
The Lady Norsemen showcased grit and determination across multiple weight classes, bringing home three individual championships, three runner-up finishes, and a third-place medal.
Individual Champions:
Emerson Zwiebel (100 lbs) – 1st Place (2-0)
Dominated with two quick pins in under a minute and a half.
Amarah Frieden (140 lbs) – 1st Place (2-0)
Secured a fall and a hard-fought 8-6 decision in the finals.
Izabella Schultz (190 lbs) – 1st Place (3-0)
Went undefeated with three pins, including one in just 17 seconds.
Runner-Up Finishers:
Fiona Schnelker (125 lbs) – 2nd Place (3-1)
Olia Leffert (130 lbs) – 2nd Place (2-1)
Kaylee Dennis (170 lbs) – 2nd Place (1-1)
Third Place:
Sheila Smith (145 lbs) – 3rd Place (2-2)
