The Northfield Lady Norse fell behind by 19 points before eventually losing to North Miami 48-47 Saturday
The Norse struggled to find offensive rhythm, over passing and passing up open shots in the first half before making progress in the second half. Tied 6-6 in the first quarter, North Miami would score 12 straight to end the quarter and build a 19-point lead in the second quarter before the Norse closed it to 14 at the half.
Northfield would own the third quarter, passing the ball with purpose, closing the deficit to 4 points before missing a shot at the buzzer that would have won the game.
The Northfield junior varsity cruised past North Miami 48-12.
