Manchester Track Impressive At State Indoor Meet

The Manchester track teams had a big day at the state indoor meet over the weekend.

The Lady Squires finished their indoor season on Saturday after a nice run. Raimi Vawter was 13th in the 60 m dash with a time of 8.15 and the 4×200 team of Vawter, Ava Simcoe, Olivia Stevens, and Samantha Shock placed 16th overall with a time of 1:53.4.

The Squire Guys track team was impressive Saturday breaking 3 indoor records. Carson Heath picked up second in the 60 m hurdles breaking his own record for the third time with an 8.18. Team mates Holden Poston (8.79*) and Eli Metzger (8.94) picked up 18th and 21st. Korbin Presl reached the podium in the long jump with a leap of 21’5, again breaking his own indoor record for the third time. Presl and Heath also went 9th and 10th in the high jump at 6’2. The 4×200 team of Metzger, Poston, Heath, and Johny Miller posted a time of 1:35 for 12th place.
In the last heat of the last event of the day the 4×4 team of Metzger, Poston, Heath, and Oliver Fitzpatrick put together a brilliant finish blazing to third place in a time of 3:26.68 smashing the former indoor record by 5 seconds.
