The Wabash volleyball team traveled to Madison Grant Wednesday, falling to the Argylls 27-25, 14-25, 24-26.
The Lady Apaches got off to a very slow start, falling behind 7-0 and eventually 16-7 before Josie Bakehorn lead a comeback. Bakehorn would record three straight aces and collect two kills as Wabash cut the deficit to 17-16. The Argylls would hold on to their lead and led 24-22 when Sofia Pries added two kills before Wabash fell 25-27.
Wabash would take advantage of a few Madison Grant errors early in the second set before struggling themselves and trailing 11-4. The Ladt Apaches would get a kill each from Pries and Avi Osborne, but could never find the rhythm, falling 14-25.
Wabash would lead most of the third set, grabbing a 4-3 lead on a Pries kill. Pries and Quinn Meyers would control the net while Zoe Vail and Osborne led the offensive charge. Wabash led 24-22 before Madison Grant scored four straight to grab a 26-24 win.
