Manchester Tennis Falls To Peru

The Manchester boys tennis team lost to perennially strong Peru, 4-1, Saturday, Aug. 29.

Brendyn Mugford picked up the Squires’ only win at No. 2 singles where he defeated Logan Rogers, 6-4, 6-1.

At No. 1 singles, Caleb Struble-Hedstrom lost to Peru’s Riley Astrup, 6-2, 6-2, followed by Adam Kerlin falling short, 6-2, 6-2 against Landon Steele.

In double play, the No. 1 team of Graham Kreps-Miller and Charlie Van lost to Rocket Schurstz and Lucas Rodriguez, 6-0, 6-1, while the No. 2 team of Gatsby Gawthrop and Tate Harting 6-0, 6-0 Kaden McGuire and Sawyer Collie.

In JV play, Braxton Martin lost, 8-0 to C. Fouts, and Tristin Sellers lost, 8-2.
