The Northfield Lady Norse golf team defeated the Manchester Squires and Huntington North Vikings with a score of 186 to 190 to 237 Wednesday.
The Lady Norse were led by Senior Ayla Dale and medalist for the night, firing a 44. Junior Montgomrie Dawes shot a strong 46 for the Norse. Senior Addy Sorg shot a 47, sophomore Kassidy Cartwright fired a 49, and rounding out the scoring was Vivian Haupert with a 50.
Junior Ali Copeland and senior Millie Higgins had a great night on the course both ending their season with a 54. Seniors Mikayla Meyer and Vanessa Lyons also had their last career match as a Norse and shot a 60 and 62. Freshmen Ryleigh Drudge ended her rookie season shooting a 69.
The Lady Norse have now broke the single season win record and are 47-3. They also went undefeated in match play this season.
Next stop for the Norse is sectionals at Arbor Trace on Saturday, September 19th.
Addison Reid led Manchester in her last 9-hole match as a Squire, firing a solid 45. Clare D’Andrea shot a 46, followed by Piper Spangle with a 48. Ava Simcoe rounded out the team score with a 51, and Audra Tobias added a 69 in the 5 spot.
The Squires travel to Stonehenge Thursday morning for their sectional tournament where they look to qualify out as a team for the first time in 9 years.
