The Northfield Norsemen Junior High Football team came up short against the Wildcats of Whitko Tuesday night.
Even though Whitko scored first, the Norse answered with a 26 yard pass to Keagan Prus for a TD, and Braden Poe tacked on an additional 2 pts tying the score at 8 – 8. Whitko would go on to add two more scores leading to a final of 8 – 22.
The offense was led by Keagan Prus with 97 total yards. Brayden Poe added 19 yards on the ground. Easton Haupert had a reception for 26 yards, and Johvonnie Gidley added a reception for 12 yards.
The defensive effort was led by both Keagan Prus and Brayden Poe, each with 8.5 tackles. Jaiden Sloop added 4 tackles, with Mosby Stephens and Grady Lehner tacking on 3.5 tackles each.
The Norse will next host the Wabash Apaches on Tuesday, September 22.
