Just 13 total points were scored in the first half before Manchester defeated Southwood 34-24 in a second half shootout.
The Knights would put the first points on the board when Eli Shellhamer connected with Kaden Valdez from 4yds out to lead 6-0.
Manchester would answer in the second quarter when Caden Young scored from 1yd out to give the Squires a 7-6 lead at the half.
Young would get the scoring started in the third quarter, crossing the goal line from 6yds away to lead 14-6. Southwood would answer when Tripper Schnepp scored from 2yds out to make it 14-12. The Knights would grab the lead when Shellhamer found Camden Wyatt for an 11yd scoring strike to give the Knights an 18-14 lead. Manchester would answer in just 19 seconds when Young raced 65yds to pay dirt to put Manchester up 20-18 after three.
The Knights would strike first on a flee flicker to start the fourth. Shellhamer pitched to Valdez who then found Wyatt from 5yds out to put Southwood back up 24-20. Again the Squires would answer quickly when Hunter Hamilton broke loose from 63yds away to put Manchester back up 27-24. The Squires would tack on a score with 1:35 left when Pablo Santoyo scored from a yard out for the 34-24 final.
