The Wabash Apaches fell behind 22-0 before coming back to defeat Greenwood Christian 44-40 Friday.
Down 22-0 early in the second quarter the Wabash running game would find life with Haiden McWhirt scoring three times to tie the score. The second score came after a recovered onside kick. Greenwood Christian would answer with 2:33 left and led 28-22 at the half.
In the third McWhirt would score for the fourth time with Greenwood answering and leading 34-28 after three.
McWhirt would score his fifth touchdown early in the fourth, followed by a Colin Patton run to give the Apaches a 44-34 lead. Greenwood would answer with 4:31 on the clock to make it 44-40 before Wabash marched the field and taking a knee to run out the clock
