Lady Norse Blast Eastbrook

The Northfield Lady Norse gave up a three pointer to start the game before finishing the first quarter on a 13-0 run in a 65-18 win over Eastbrook Wednesday.

Eastbrook would grab a 3-0 lead before the Norse went to work. Ally Keaffaber would knot the score with a long ball and was followed with buckets from Kyra Kennedy, Abbey Ross and Kelcie Thomson to lead 13-3 after the first stop.

The second quarter would start the same way with Eastbrook scoring before the Norse all but put the game away. Northfield would get a bucket from Kennedy that ignited a 17-0 run for a 30-5 lead. Ariel Dale led the way in the quarter with 9 points while five different players scored. The Norse would go nine deep with intensive full court pressure and led 34-8 at the half.

Addi Baker and Kennedy would start the scoring in the third quarter with Emma Hoover and Kearston Stout chiming in as the lead grew to 48-14 after three quarters.

Six different players would score in the fourth for the Norse as the defense allowed just one Eastbrook bucket in the 65-18 route.

Nine different players scored for the Norse.

Ariel Dale led the way with 19 points, 5 rebounds, 5 steals. Krya Kennedy added 12 points, 3 rebounds, 3 assist, 3 steals. Ally Keaffaber had 6 points, Kelcie Thomson 7, Addi Baker 6, Abbey Ross 2, Emma Hoover 7, Kearston Stout 4, Melanie Beery 2.

The Northfield junior varsity defeated Eastbrook 37-27.
