The second quarter would be the quarter of the long ball as the Norse connected on just four buckets, three coming from behind the stripe. Hoover would hit a two to make it 17-16. Tipton would end the scoring in the quarter with a three. Northfield led 25-24 at the half.

As the previous two quarters the third quarter would be a dog fight. Tipton would grab a 26-25 lead before Kyra Kennedy scored on an ally opp layup to lead 27-26. Back and forth the lead swayed with Tipton leading 30-29 when Kennedy scored, followed by another Dale three to lead 34-30. Tipton would hit one more time as the Norse clung to a 34-32 lead with a quarter to go.

The Norse would get a bucket from Hoover to start the fourth quarter and led 36-35 when they got a little breathing room. Dale would connect on a two and was followed by an Addi Baker bucket and a free throw from Kennedy to increase the lead to 42-35. Up 46-43 the Blue Devils would foul Thomson with 35.8 left with Thomson draining both free throws for a 48-43 lead.
